& wine, and Rue Cler is our way of sharing that passion with our friends and neighbors in Durham. John & Chris are adamant about using only the best local produce and the finest meats. You won’t find pretentious décor or snobby waiters here, just classic French bistro cuisine which combines the freshest ingredients & the most delicious wines—all at a reasonable price.

Our lunch menu ranges from the classic Salad Nicoiseto to the delectable Croque Monsieur. Simple and delicious. At Rue Cler, you’ll always find something to wake up your pallette and energize your day.

Dinner—here’s where the fun starts! Every night we feature a $30 three-course Prix Fixe menu, with tantalizing choices for each course. We also have an A La Carte menu featuring your traditional French bistro favorites: Steak Frites, Coque a Vin, Patés, etc.
