This will be the inaugural of what we hope to be an annual event: The Winter Burgundy Dinner at Rue Cler. The dinner will be hosted by Rue Cler owner and Burgundy collector, Nathan Vandergrift. For our first year, we are going to feature the wines of Domaine Louis Boillot. We will be tasting some older vintages, as well as a couple of wines from the heralded 2015 vintage. Everything sampled will be made available for purchase, at special pricing, for that evening (although there will be only a few bottles of some of the wines.)
We have been big supporters of Louis Boillot since we purchased Rue Cler in 2013, and are responsible for the wines being available in the state of North Carolina. This started with our love for the wines of Ghislaine Barthod, who is married to Louis, and through whom we were first introduced to his wines. This is a rare opportunity to try before you buy, and we hope to see you there.
